Gastrointestinal endoscopy cases make up the largest portion of out of operating room malpractice claims involving anesthesiologists. A new study identifies associated case characteristics and contributing factors by analyzing closed medical malpractice claims in the CRICO Strategies national Comparative Benchmarking System (CBS) that resulted from the gastrointestinal endoscopy suite.
