A Policy-Based Intervention for the Reduction of Communication Breakdowns in Inpatient Surgical Care

Following a pre- and postintervention study, the researchers concluded that a surgery-department– communication-policy intervention significantly reduced the incidence of potentially harmful communication breakdowns during inpatient care.
