CRICO OR Team Training Program with Simulation
The CRICO Operating Room Team Training Program with Simulation is open to select CRICO-insured attending surgeons in the following specialities: general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, otolaryngology and gynecology surgery. This voluntary program entitles participants to collect an incentive rebate for each year in which they complete specific risk reduction activities assigned over a three-year cycle.
Costs encountered for completing specified risk reduction coursework are the responsibility of each CRICO-insured attending surgeon.
Program Requirements: Individual Participants
FIRST YEAR
To receive the incentive rebate you must complete the following activities and submit your documents of completion:
- CRICO-approved Operating Room Team Training Program with Simulation course. Please contact your surgical department or Kathy Dwyer for details.
SECOND YEAR
To receive the incentive rebate you must complete the following activities and submit your documents of completion:
- Operating Room safety drills/team training refresher course
THIRD YEAR
To receive the incentive rebate you must complete the following activities and submit your documents of completion:
- Requirement chosen by your sponsoring organization/CME
