CRICO/RMF of the Harvard Medical Institutions is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
CRICO has been resurveyed by the ACCME and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as a provider of CME for physicians.
ACCME accreditation seeks to assure the medical community and the public that CRICO provides physicians with relevant, effective, practice-based CME that supports US health care quality improvement.
In considering requests to sponsor continuing medical education activities, the following guidelines have been developed.
1) Active participation of a CRICO Patient Safety department staff member in the planning and/or teaching process.
2) Explicit identification of practice gap(s) of CRICO-insured physicians supported by CRICO malpractice data.
3) Clear alignment with CRICO’s overall mission and consistent with the malpractice target areas.
To begin this process or to discuss possible sponsorship, please contact our Director of Patient Safety and Education.
CRICO CME content represents collaborative input and review by Harvard-affiliated physicians and industry experts.
