Considerations to Reduce Medicolegal Claims in Interventional Pain Procedures
Jul 01, 2019
An editorial about the study, A Contemporary Medicolegal Analysis of Outpatient Interventional Pain Procedures, published in Anesthesia & Analgesia reinforces the value of medical malpractice liability (MPL) data analyses and how they can contribute to patient safety initiatives.
Reviewers commended the study authors for their work stating the authors have “established a framework on which a punctilious discourse can be established. In conclusion, we hope that the article by Abrecht et al encourages interventional pain physicians to further advance best practices and continue to improve the quality and safety of pain medicine.”
