As Vice President of Underwriting, Melissa Kemp is responsible for leading a team of associates, developing underwriting strategy and driving implementation of strategic and operational objectives. She oversees underwriting policy development, risk assessment, and risk intelligence gathering in response to emerging and existing risks. Efforts to develop and monitor underwriting policies, procedures and best practices by collaborating with business partners across the organization are also key areas of focus. In addition to the core risk and management functions of underwriting, Ms. Kemp is also leading the business evaluation and implementation of an underwriting systems development project.
Ms. Kemp has more than twenty years of insurance experience in a variety of roles that include underwriting management, project management and strategy development. She holds an MBA from Boston College and maintains an active CPA license.
