New CRICO Comparative Benchmarking System Report Indicates Claim Frequency Down; Claim Severity, Management Costs Up

The Medical Liability Monitor’s (MLM) March 2019 issue featured the newly released CRICO Strategies Comparative Benchmarking System report findings on medical malpractice in America.


MLM’s cover story highlights national data from “Medical Malpractice in America: A 10-year Assessment with Insights.” The CRICO Strategies report provides findings that demonstrate “the frequency of medical professional liability claims declined dramatically between 2007 and 2016, while claim severity grew in line with inflation and the cost to manage all claims outpaced inflation,” reported MLM.
