The authors discuss metrics that can be leveraged in a comprehensive enterprise risk management program, including the value of leveraging medical malpractice claims data. Analysis of medical malpractice claims data can inform an organization if its “focus and investment in its real-time risk management initiatives and subsequent trended metrics are aligned with the trends identified in a claims analysis.”
