MMIC Leverages Malpractice Claims Data to Improve Healthcare Delivery

MD News provides a look at the deep analysis by MMIC Group, in partnership with CRICO Strategies, of its medical liability claims data on surgical allegations. This study enabled MMIC to identify themes that result in the most common—and costliest— surgical cases.

In 2013, MMIC Group partnered with CRICO Strategies giving it the opportunity to examine its malpractice claims data with additional insight provided by CRICO’s 40 years of accumulated claims information. The result is a new project that will provide customers of MMIC and its sister companies across 16 states with actionable data pertaining to surgical malpractice cases.
