This is an online event.
The pandemic forced health care providers to rapidly shift to virtual care, often without well-established processes to support virtual visits. While virtual care is a useful alternative to provide access to health care, it can introduce new and unanticipated patient safety risks, including language access barriers, digital disparities, and obstacles in pediatric care. As a clinician, understanding the risks and barriers to effective virtual visits helps you to provide optimal, safe care.
Experts discuss the complexities of virtual health care and provide examples of projects they led to mitigate telehealth challenges. Participants will walk away with the knowledge to reflect on their own practice and identify opportunities to reduce patient safety risks during virtual visits.
