When Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) conducted a thorough due-diligence assessment of an organization’s overall health, it included an assessment of its patient safety climate. This additional due-diligence helped MGH identify gaps in the hospital’s ability to deliver the safest care possible. By engaging CRICO Strategies to conduct a Risk Appraisal and Plan (RAP), MGH had insight into the organization’s safety culture and climate and how they were affected by its leadership at all levels.
