Four-Year Impact of an Alert Notification System on Closed-Loop Communication of Critical Test Results

The intervention, Alert Notification of Critical Results (ANCR) system, was implemented in January 2010. After four years, researchers concluded that the automated alerts system was successfully adopted and contributed to increased adherence to institutional policy with reduced workflow interruptions.
