Reforming the Medical Liability System in Massachusetts Communication Apology and Resolution (CARe)

Kenneth E. Sands was senior vice president at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at the time he received a CRICO Grant for work that appeared August 2017 in The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) publication, “Advances in Patient Safety and Medical Liability.”


Dr. Sands co-authored the publication’s prologue and the section, “Reforming the Medical Liability System in Massachusetts: Communication, Apology, and Resolution (CARe).”
