The Best Medical Practices Course is a one day program based on issues gleaned from current malpractice risks in primary care, with a focus on cancer diagnoses. The aim is to provide didactic opportunities for office-based primary care clinicians to:

  • Update their knowledge about screening for the four most common
    cancers in malpractice cases (breast, colon, lung, and prostate)
  • Describe the importance of mastering and documenting
    discussions about screening and the results of screening
  • Discuss strategies to prevent failure of or delay in diagnosis
  • Identify key strategies for reducing their risk for medical
    malpractice from the perspectives of a malpractice defense attorney


$50.00 Physicians
$25.00 for Residents and Fellows
$25.00 for  Allied Health Professionals

This is a non-refundable fee that includes course materials, breakfast, lunch, and light refreshments.
