We've compiled the medical incidents and turned them into simulation scenarios. So, it gives the providers a very realistic setting to practice in. The simulator really helps to develop teamwork and refine the reaction when there's a need to intervene.

Adverse medical events are frequently the result of ineffective team communication: either not having enough information, losing it across the transitions of care, or one clinician having a different “picture” of what’s supposed to be done than others caring for the same patient. Multiple people caring for a given patient need a systematic process to facilitate communication.
