CRICO/RMF Strategies Symposium Marriott Long Wharf Hotel Boston, Massachusetts Monday, June 2, 2008 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Health care information technology solutions are a boon to patient safety until they introduce unforeseen risks that jeopardize both patients and providers.
Join us as we explore how improved collaboration between IT developers and clinicians can optimize the benefits and minimize unforeseen risks.
The end results of IT solutions in patient safety are often mixed. Some work great, some don’t; some are underused due to inadequate training (or design) and some are successful to a fault…that is, they solve one problem but, inadvertently give rise to another. We hope that on June 2, 2008, and through the ongoing relationships we create and improve during our program, we can better understand what determines the evolution of a specific IT solution, i.e., why one exceeds expectations, while another falls short.
We highly recommend that IT personnel and clinicians working on collaborative patient safety projects attend together to share success stories and address real-time challenges
