1. Create a written statement [PDF] of your organization’s patient safety values.
2. Measure where your organization is currently in relation to those values.
3. Develop strategies for implementing those values into the organization.
4. Continually measure (every 3months for a year, every six months thereafter) where your organization is in relation to those values.
5. Recognize it can take years to see systemic adoption.
